Yes it took me too long to read this book. I feel bad for that cause I really enjoyed this read but also I'm happy cause I don't have to wait long till the sequel. But one thing is sure this was a really enjoyable book.
As you may have noticed this is a dystopian book and as such it has we can say slow and not fully understood beginning. It took me some time to get into the story and catch all the info but once I did everything went on easily. This is a story about Emeber the girl who one day suddenly got separated from her mother and that's when she sees that she must grow and take care of herself and then help her mother. Only problem is that the boy she has ever loved was is now a soldier and part of the whole system. There is a long way ahead and Ember has to survive.
It's hard to get all the details cause I don't want to spoil anything for you but I really liked Ember. She is young but still mature and she has that something that made me cheer for her and hope the best. On the other side Chase is that one boy you always fall for. I have no idea how authors do this but the boys can be so greatly crated that you have to love them. Besides them I loved other characters as well and the story too.
Recently I talked with my friend Maida and we agreed that we can't wait for the sequel but also hoped that love-triangles would be left out of this story. I know it's the most intimidating way to make story more - well more, it's not the only way. I just hope to get more of the story and society and the whole structure and also to see our characters grow. All in all I'll be expecting the sequel impatiently.
