My Life Next Door - Huntley Fitzpatrick Review also posted at Ja čitam, a ti?

I've learned few things about myself and reading during the last year. One of them is - if Glass says to me to read the book I read it. End of story. She knows exactly what type of book I love and enjoy. Well maybe it takes some time for me to read the book (sorry honey) but I always read it. My Life Next Door is not an exception.

If you enjoy sweet summer reads with a little bit of heartbreaking then My Life Next Door should be on your shelf. It's a story about Samantha and her life. Her mother is a successful woman and sometimes it seems that she's forgotten when it's time to stop caring about her carrier and start thinking about her daughters. At the house next door we have Garrett family. It's different type of family where everyone are together. Even though their house is full of kids they are still family. Samantha secretly watches them from her house and one day Jase sits next to her. At first she is afraid but soon she discovers that Jase is easy to talk with. They become friends and then they must break barriers Samantha's mother set.

Like it says in a blurb - a gorgeous debut novel about family, friendship, first romance... it pretty much sums it. Like Glass said in her review it was hard to believe that this was a debut novel and I can't wait to read the next Huntley's book.
